I am only happy when it rains. 🌧
The outside is quite gloomy and grey. Rain is pouring down in buckets.
Oh, this weather is killing me.
I wish it would be sunshine.
No, not for me.
It is a PERFECT day for me. I would wish it would rain for weeks.
Even at the expense of my low blood pressure and less productivity.
Living on a farm, seeing the effects of this summer’s drought, constant fires, experiencing a water shortage that some of my closes neighbours had, getting less hay for our animals…
Yes, I can’t go for my regular walk without being wet to my bones drenched in the rain. Oh, life is unfair. Is it?
I’ll dry myself and change into some fresh clothes.
It made me think…
About how we assess and evaluate life in one day. On the current day.
Sometimes we say rain is a bad thing as something that interferes with our daily activities. I see rain as something more. I see it as life, an elemental force.
Yes, it is raining TODAY.
But it will fill our underwater supplies.
Nourish our flowers and gardens.
Give animals water in the creeks.
The same is with challenges and obstacles in our life.
It may seem like a bad day, but it will bring resilience, motivation, and growth in the long run.
We usually forget about the long-term effects on our life. Instead, we tend to judge life in one day.
So, whenever your life faces a challenge. I don’t think it is necessary a bad thing.
Think of it as rain, which will water your growth.
